How to Become Sanctioned


An AAU Sanction is an authorization issued by a local AAU Association only to member clubs, which approves and licenses the holding of an AAU competition. A Sanction is issued to a competition meeting the requirements of the AAU Code Book (301.1 Jurisdiction - All AAU sanctioned events are open to AAU members only). AAU Sanctions may be obtained by filing a complete, pre-printed Sanction Application with the local AAU Association office of the event's venue and paying the required sanctioning fees. Sanction applications may be obtained from your local AAU Association. Events failing to meet these requirements will be denied a sanction.

The following items must be completed 30 days prior to the sanctioning of an event for approval by the Chair. The Sanction form and fees must be submitted to the Chair and not the Association office for approval. Forms will be forwarded to the Association office by Chair.
